YOUR DATA, YOUR CHOICE
Delete your account
You can delete your Words In The Wild account, and everything in it, at any time.
In the app or on the web
- Open Words In The Wild and sign in.
- Go to Settings and scroll to Your account.
- Choose Delete account, then Delete my account and data. For your security you may be asked to sign in again first.
If you can’t sign in
Email WordsInTheWild@proton.me from the address you registered with, asking us to delete your account. We’ll confirm once it’s done, within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: email address, password and any two-step verification setting.
- Every picture you uploaded, in every language, including stored backup copies.
- Your vocabulary, the analysis of each picture, quiz scores, settings and photo usage.
Deletion starts straight away and is normally complete within minutes. Database backups used only for disaster recovery are overwritten within 35 days.
What is kept
We keep nothing about you after deletion. Google keeps its own record of any purchases you made through Google Play, under Google’s privacy policy. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Google Play subscription: cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.
